Ready Mixed Machine Applied Plaster:

APPLICATION PROCESS

PRIOR TO APPLICATION:
  • Always use clean tools and apply on clean backgrounds
  • Use clean bucket and water to avoid any dry residue in the paste
  • Do not make applications under +05 C
  • To increase adherence of the plasters, dry and hot surfaces should be wet before application
  • Do not add additives such as sand, cement, chemicals, etc. to the plasters
  • To ensure homogeneity in manual plasters, mix the plaster by an electrical hand mixer
  • It is recommended that the product be used within 1 year of the manufacturing date – First In First Out (FIFO)
  • “UNI-BOND” is used to increase the adherence of the plaster to the wall where there is a smooth surface, such as gross concrete or ceilings
  • Large holes or haps should be filled with gypsum plaster before applying UNI-PLASTER, as different thickness of the plaster may cause cracks due to uneven drying time

APPLICATION:
  • Plaster should be applied to the entire surface with consistent thickness in order to prevent risk of capillary cracks
  • Structural movements or vibrations, such as shrinking, expanding, seating, etc… on structural elements such as beams, columns, flooring and wall, may lead to cracks on the plaster surface. To decrease cracking, plaster net should be applied to the joints of different materials
  • When the application is in progress, air current should be prevented to eliminate the risk of cracks
  • Sufficient amount of water should be used on the entire surface with a foam rubber trowel for floating
  • On aerated-Concrete surfaces, make direct application of the plaster without applying a bonding compound
  • Strictly comply with the water powder proportions for homogeneity and consistency of the plaster
  • In machine-applied plasters, keep the water proportion consistent for homogenous mixture
  • To increase the adherence of the material on the surface, application thickness of a single layer of UNI-PLASTER should be between 8 and 25mm. If more is required, apply the second coat before the first coat settles
  • If a long period of time elapsed following the initial layer application, the surface should be wet prior to starting the second layer
  • If using one coat application of the plaster on the wall, UNI-PLASTER should be 8mm; and “UNI-FINISH” application should be a minimum of 3mm
  • No more than 15 plaster bags should be stacked on pallets, one on top of another. They should be kept in a dry place without contacting the floor to protect against moisture and condensation

AFTER APPLICATION:
  • Spray machine should be cleaned properly after each use to prevent early setting of the plaster
  • In gypsum-based plasters, paint can be applied 10 days after the application of the plaster

Climate change together with need to preserve energy requires thermal insulation of all buildings against hot and cold weather. On the other hand, regulatory changes were put in place to design buildings according to requirements to save energy.

Good thermal insulation properties of gypsum plaster together with low heat conductivity of polystyrene panels ensures very low heat conductivity in which it will reduce electricity consumption thus reduces the electricity bills.

  • Uni-Plaster’s low heat conductivity improves thermal insulation and also provides other advantages because of its natural properties.
